What is On-Que’s Bill of Lading?

Our Bill of Lading program represents a much needed addition for many companies that ship products via LTL delivery. Our Bill of Lading steps the user through the process of "building" the BOL then displaying it on the screen before printing. Thus, ensuring the accuracy of the document. The system will update product weights in inventory if they are changed during the "building" process. Default settings such as NMFC and Class codes help speed entry. When used in conjunction with the Manifest program, the Bill of Lading is used to feed the manifest whereby further reducing entry time.

The program requires NO modification to the accounting source code.

How does On-Que's Bill of Lading work? After entering the Bill of Lading number or Pro Number and choosing the "Bill To" party, simply proceed to the sales order selection screen and enter the order numbers. The system was designed to handle partial and complete sales order shipments. After entering the orders/items, tell the system which items are using skids and how any. The skid weight is calculated and added to the total weight at the bottom of the Bill of Lading form. If the item weight is changed, or if missing weight is entered, the system asks the user to permit the updating of the inventory weight. Next, header information is reviewed and changed if necessary and additional special services are selected. These services can be COD, Inside Delivery, Ground Delivery, etc. Now, preview the Bill of Lading and if its correct then you ready to print. If its not correct, simply go back to the appropriate screen and change you selections.

After printing, the system can optionally write the BOL out to a file which makes creating the manifest even more simple than it should be. If you use multiple manifest forms, you choose which form you want to use. Enter the Bill of Lading number and proceed to the next screen. The system recaps which sales orders are on the Bill of Lading and at this time, the user inputs the default manifest line item description. Now, select the special ‘ManiBuilder Button’ and the manifest is generated. Again, review and/or change any information, when your ready, print!

Its that simple.
